Kadir’s initiative and dedication were evident in his independent development of a VR application aimed at reconstructing the Magnolia House, a historic Green Book hotel in Greensboro, NC — one of the few safe havens for Black visitors during segregation. He took initiative to meticulously place realistic light sources and incorporated royalty-free period-specific music and spatialized audio to create a more engaging immersive user experience.
